It occurred to me that rather than trying to find the time to write posts for my blog, it might be fore efficient if I used my comments to post some of my thoughts.  It is fairly easy to see what the subject was, so here are some  of todays:

Good lord what did everyone, everywhere expect? This is China, after all. They take what they need or want regardless of whatever. This a country that has over 5,000 years of an inbred nationalism that has seen itself as superior to anyone else on the planet. They are doing what "better" people do, they take over. They don't expect control today, they expect control of the planet within 100 years. This, to me, has always been the goal of all people all over: taking control. It happens in our daily lives where we live and move upward from there. I firmly believe that they will deal brutally with the Islamofascists when that time comes. The Islamofascists haven't the vaguest idea of what they will deal with when China steps into the picture. In the meantime, China will let us educate their scientists, engineers, doctors and then take what they want. After all, who is there to stop them? And, how?

I have watched in fascination at the deterioration of Chavez's mental state. The better it goes for him, the more unstable he has gotten. It is an extremely clear portrait of what happens to a country when it refuses to believe the reality on the ground until it is too late. As I have read here and elsewhere this morning, Chavez will "win" the election and the people who refused to "see" the truth of what was happening will pay the price. It is all too human and, personally, I sometimes think that that is what is beginning to happen with some of our "leaders" in the USA. Edwards said "Bush owns the media...." just the other day, Hillary turns on and off at will her cackle and Biden believes himself so powerful he will personally "impeach" Bush if he bombs Iran. What is more frightening to me are their followers and supporters. What little I have read or heard about is very scary. We may have a "Party" in this country going bonkers like Chavez.

Now, here is a very clear example of what can happen in a country when the leader has a solid brain in his head. Putin will do what Putin and his cohorts have planned all along, the difference between Putin and Chavez is that Putin is sane and knows what he has been doing lo these many years. He knows no one can stop him but he still takes his steps towards totalitarianism in a very steady line. That way, when he is done he can begin to truly control Europe, his goal all along. Oh, and docjim505, the little SOB wants power, simple!

As I understand it, this Zalmay Khalilzad is President Bush's choice as envoy for the United Nations.  We all know what the United Nations is all about don't we?  It is the greatest trough for pigs to feed on since its creation.  It is, has been for quite some time and will always be, a place of greed and power grabbing.  Nothing else.

     And, yet, what is Zalmay doing meeting with the #1 hater of America?  Hmmmm.....

     THE NUMBER REPRESENTS THE 'EARMARKS' IN THE LABOR, HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES bill that President Bush recently hit with his veto!!  If you look carefully, you will note that most of the amounts would seem small and if you questioned them they would say it went to help in "some small way" the recipient, but this is absurd.  Check it out for yourselves at:

     The website, The Politico, barely let you know about the earmarks via one of its blogs.  This site leans left but has some responsible bits from time to time.  I am personally ashamed that so much of the money we send is wasted by everyone!

America vs. Hillary

My "comment" on Captain's Quarters Blog this morning in response to his "America the Non-Empire" post. The Captain is my first read and I often wonder at his prodigious daily output on so many matters.  And, this is just one of his endeavors.  If you haven't checked him do, do so and enjoy.

     I have never had the pleasure of a formal "higher" education. However, massive reading, listening and watching everything led me to the conclusion decades ago that America was and is the only experiment of its kind in the history of mankind. It is hated precisely for that reason. We are not perfect, far from it, but if we fall, then the world will fall with us. What do I mean? Look at the world around you and what its leaders are capable of doing to their own citizens. See and hear the horror that has been inflicted on hundreds of millions and note that hundreds of millions have been murdered by their own leaders for the aggrandizement of power and/or enrichment for themselves, their family and cronies. It has happened since time began and will continue to the end. I dislike Hillary just for the reasons listed. She and her husband came from nowhere and somehow became wealthy beyond the average citizen without working for it. They both look towards the self-aggrandizement of their lifestyles. Their views and beliefs are skewed and are reminiscent of "Old" Europe and therefore, leftist! That is why we are on the threshold of becoming just another one of the countries on the planet, nothing extraordinary. It will be a pity If she gets into the White House, but perhaps, that is the destiny of this country after all.

The Professor

Remember that Professor I blogged about a few posts back?  Well, I read with much interest and amusement what three letters writers had to say about him and his column.  I was not off by much.  All three were very "smart"...you might even think "smartest" regardless of what the Prof wrote.  All three were insulted.  All three saw right through the Pros's tinfoil hatted leftist looniness....hope the Prof reads the letters.  I would love to be one of the Orange County Register's letter editors just to see how much mail he generated...the majority in this County, at least, would have been against him.  That is what happens when we put ourselves above the rest.  When we think we are the smartest ever.  When we believe, so blindly, that our position is the only, the best in the world and we will not listen to anyone else.  Welcome to the Democratic Party and its apparatchik following.  That, in a short description, is where Hillary, Soros, Koskids, Mydd, and their ilk are.

OUR SOULS!!

     It is scary.  I truly begin to worry about the future my grandchildren and great grandchildren will inherit.  Maybe I read too many different kinds of things.  The brain has been and is one of my most favored subjects.  I have tried to read as much a I could about the progress being made in the brain.  No so much how we think, as to why we think as we do.  Science is getting particularly scary.  While you and I discuss the price of stuff, buy and sell stuff, live our lives and look forward, too many of us have no idea just what the "scientists" are discovering, nor, how those who wish to dictate to us how to live will use the new information coming from every place on the planet.
    When I was much younger, I had that naive belief that humankind would overcome the obstacles inherent in just being alive.  That what ever good was being discovered would help everyone, everywhere, equally.  That, is not, however, how it happens.  For a very long time I couldn't understand why it happened that way.  Today, of course, I do.  It is not economic but a political reality.  Not all humankind will get the help and attention it needs, no matter who says differently.  No matter what the demands may be.   And even when, as our "artists" have discovered, something is attempted, it usually doesn't get too far without the corruption of the locals.  Ask Madonna and Angelina!
     Stalin certainly didn't care about humankind.  Millions on millions of his own people were killed and others as well because he could, in spite of his personal political world view do as he wished and there was no one to stop him anywhere on the planet....like,  Mao, Pol Pot, Idi Amin Dada and so many others around the globe.  No matter what you and I think, feel or want, these types of evil don't care.  And, no makes them have to care.  We, the Western world, has attributed to these maniacs and those that have have followed in their footsteps for decades, the equality of law and diplomacy.   As if they care
     But, is that any different that what we have done in our countries?  In Europe, the remnants of their past continue to plague.  For the Europeans, diplomacy is the only way to secure your own while holding off the inevitable.  They have finally begun to see, perhaps too late, what Islamofascists actually are and want.  What they need to understand is that their leaders of all sides gave these folk a legitimacy necessary for their success not to mention that they sowed the seeds of their own destruction.
     In America, we have done much the same with the gangs that now plague every sector of society, one way or another from poor to rich.  We did not deal with the problem and therefore, gave them a legitimacy necessary to prosper.  They themselves never did anything but take care of their business as they saw fit regardless of what "normal" society wanted.  Today, we continue to pay for that blindness(?) and lack of will.  Who profitted from the decades of mayhem and murder as they grew into drug cartels all over America?  Corruption permeates every level of society.  Nothing is immune....hmmmmm.
     But, the scientists continue to delve deeper and deeper into what makes us "human"...the why and how of it.  Someday, they will be able, in vitro, to clean up the personality to a great degree.  But, they will never be able to penetrate the soul of us.  Perhaps that is where the hope lies, our soul.  Let's hope so.

FREE SPEECH?????

     Nah!!  At the San Francisco Chronicle and various left wing sites, they are using a cute little widget thingy that deletes comments they don't like, but...and here is the whole point, the deletion doesn't show up for the commentator....only, I suppose if the commentator uses a different ISP address or computer.  There are cookies to follow.
     Hillary Clinton should be asked about this but probably won't be.  However, I think this is pure silliness.  But I bet those people who advertise on these sites might not think this is good business.  Deleting comments without letting the commentator find out about it is deceit!  But it is also deceit for the site to promote larger numbers than they have if, eventually, the deleted commentators drop off as they surely will.   Foolish!  This is crazy stupid to think preventing free speech on your site by deleting does away with it.  Why else would they take this road?  It is a road they think is less traveled....they forget about Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Muslim Brotherhood and, of course, their friend, Hugo Chavez.  Start with the Net move on to guns.  Different road, same end for the those that wish to dictate to us how to live.
     The left has tried for decades to drown out any speech but theirs and it worked very well.    The Internet has changed all of that.  Not completely, but certainly has made it much harder for them to hide.  I can not only read what they said, but often I can watch them say it.   Then, I can watch as they change their tune and restructure what they said in print or video.  But, their words live on and I can compare what they said yesterday to today and make up my own mind.  I do not have to be a zombie.  I have a brain and can use it.
     What I truly have a hard time with is people I know who see storm clouds overhead on a clear sunny day!  That scares me.  I wonder what type of mentality you have to have to end up like the tinfoil hatted leftist loons.

Smart, Smarter, Smartest

I read about these stats (which Prof Campos says I can't understand) decades ago.  At the time the scientists were shut up.  Hammered at because "equality" was a New, albeit a stressful need in our society.  I personally didn't understand why they couldn't speak.  Today, I do.  But, I distinctly remember that "EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY " for all was the consuming dictate in the very late 60's and early 70's.  That was the premise of the NOW chapter I was a member of.  Of course, when the bra burners took over the Movement, things changed.  But, realities are realities and must be faced.  Short is short, tall is tall and all the rest is important too!

Bring up the words “IQ” and “race", and you’re stepping into a minefield. But Slate’s Will Saletan draws the right conclusions:

Last month, James Watson, the legendary biologist, was condemned and forced into retirement after claiming that African intelligence wasn’t “the same as ours.” “Racist, vicious and unsupported by science,” said the Federation of American Scientists. “Utterly unsupported by scientific evidence,” declared the U.S. government’s supervisor of genetic research. The New York Times told readers that when Watson implied “that black Africans are less intelligent than whites, he hadn’t a scientific leg to stand on.”

I wish these assurances were true. They aren’t. Tests do show an IQ deficit, not just for Africans relative to Europeans, but for Europeans relative to Asians. Economic and cultural theories have failed to explain most of the pattern, and there’s strong preliminary evidence that part of it is genetic. It’s time to prepare for the possibility that equality of intelligence, in the sense of racial averages on tests, will turn out not to be true.

If this suggestion makes you angry—if you find the idea of genetic racial advantages outrageous, socially corrosive, and unthinkable—you’re not the first to feel that way. Many Christians are going through a similar struggle over evolution. Their faith in human dignity rests on a literal belief in Genesis. To them, evolution isn’t just another fact; it’s a threat to their whole value system. As William Jennings Bryan put it during the Scopes trial, evolution meant elevating “supposedly superior intellects,” “eliminating the weak,” “paralyzing the hope of reform,” jeopardizing “the doctrine of brotherhood,” and undermining “the sympathetic activities of a civilized society.”

The same values—equality, hope, and brotherhood—are under scientific threat today. But this time, the threat is racial genetics, and the people struggling with it are liberals.

Evolution forced Christians to bend or break. They could insist on the Bible’s literal truth and deny the facts, as Bryan did. Or they could seek a subtler account of creation and human dignity. Today, the dilemma is yours. You can try to reconcile evidence of racial differences with a more sophisticated understanding of equality and opportunity. Or you can fight the evidence and hope it doesn’t break your faith.

I’m for reconciliation. Later this week, I’ll make that case. But if you choose to fight the evidence, here’s what you’re up against. Among white Americans, the average IQ, as of a decade or so ago, was 103. Among Asian-Americans, it was 106. Among Jewish Americans, it was 113. Among Latino Americans, it was 89. Among African-Americans, it was 85. Around the world, studies find the same general pattern: whites 100, East Asians 106, sub-Sarahan Africans 70. One IQ table shows 113 in Hong Kong, 110 in Japan, and 100 in Britain. White populations in Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United States score closer to each other than to the worldwide black average. It’s been that way for at least a century.

Remember, these are averages, and all groups overlap. You can’t deduce an individual’s intelligence from her ethnicity. The only thing you can reasonably infer is that anyone who presumes to rate your IQ based on the color of your skin is probably dumber than you are.

Indeed, there’s no point in trying to deny the results of decades of IQ tests, and the realities of today’s world. But every one of us deserves to be treated as the unique individual that he or she is. If there’s one constant that’s truer than experimental data, it’s the ability of people to defy expectations and surprise you.

I’m going to paraphrase some advice on how to use this data in everyday life: Labels are for canned food, not people. I am what I am.

With this said, it is more important in the long run, in my humble opinion, that every individual have equality of opportunity.  Without it, it doesn't make any difference how "smart" you are anywhere in the world, but especially here in America!  I fought for equality of opportunity but I lost that battle and have lived to see the road to hell paved, not with gold, but the liberal intentions of the past forty years!!

Which side?

     Have you or do you know, read or hear someone that you honestly believe must  live on Mars because their viewpoints are so faaaaar away from yours?  I know a few that I know and can avoid discussing anything other than pleasantries when we're in the same room.  I generally don't "listen" to anyone that is outside my life view.  But, you can't help read them if you're on the Internet or read magazines, even occasionally read a newspaper.  Honesty demands that you "link" over even though your blogger is telling you that you won't believe this or that.  Or, you're considered in my book, hard headed!!  I try not to be too hard headed.  But, ladies and gentlemen, it is very hard work. 
     I pay for a Friday-Sunday newspaper delivery.  I know, I know..it is a waste of time according to most, including me.  But, I am still old fashioned enough that the Sunday paper has some decent stuff.  There are sales brochures for all those nifty stores (I did say I was old fashioned) and then there are the coupons, which I use when shopping and that actually pay for the subscription which is truly a pittance.  So on Sunday armed with scissors, reading glasses and coffee I sit down to "read" the Sunday Paper!
     This week is was unfortunately the week that my local rag the Orange County Register lets Professor Paul C. Campos, Colorado,  do his editorial bit.  Every time that man writes, I read to see if, per chance, this particular Sunday the man might manage to come somewhere near my universe.  Today I didn't even look at his headline,  just his picture and put the Commentary Section (as the editors call it) off until I got back from, yes, shopping!!  I started this post because of Professor Campos, he of the other Universe and when I needed to actually see the correct spelling of his name, I also read the headline and lo and behold, my blood pressure started to go up.  This changed the slant of this post.  Here is his headline:

               "Average American can't be accused of overthinking things"

     The esteemed Professor has a word there that the software of the blog underlined in red...in other words, something is wrong with the word.  So I ask "Answers.com" and this is just a bit of what I get about the word:  overthinking

             "Analysis paralysis is an informal phrase applied to when the opportunity cost of decision analysis exceeds the benefits..." 

              Then there is this:

            "Casual Analysis Paralysis can occur at any time, regarding any issue in typical conversation. Usually however, analysis paralysis occurs during more elevated, intellectual conversation. Analysis paralysis involves the over-analysis of a specific issue to the point where the issue can no longer be recognized, and the subject of the conversation is lost."

     Gosh, the Professor actually has written a piece that is paralyzed by his very own analysis, and in the process calls the Average American like you and me,
dumb, dumber and stupid.   The Prof thinks it is because of a "anti-intellectual populism".  This is found "as part of the right-wing backlash" or Fox News viewers when there are "smarty-pants professors!" His exclamation point.   Wow!!  He can actually see you and me when we are watching Fox News.  How's that for new technology....or according to Orwell, maybe not. We are not very smart.  We don't read books he says or understand statistics.  We are ignorant of other countries or our own history.  Wow!!  Professor Campos, have you put me in my place.  Thank you very much your Intellectual Genius, Sir.  I am too dumb to see that 95% of the educational establishment in this country hates it.  Too dumb to see that the politicians want money and power and from their places in office they get it....think Murtha, Byrd, Steven, Hillary, Reid, Pelosi, Feinstein. 
     Why yes,, professor big brains, you are so smart.  You know so much.  Somehow your job (tenured? is it?), making above 100K per annum PLUS all those perks your union has gotten you at the expense of my taxes and my kids gives you the insight to call me stupid!  Wow, talk about analysis paralysis!!!
     It is truly too bad that professor campos (he does not deserve any capitals) is so analytically paralyzed.  He might actually discover that we are human beings unlike his holiness campos who is a member of the Hominidae.
     For now folks, I will go get a cup of tea and hope this campos nut gets out of my brain.

What would you say?

     I was just sitting at my computer reading news, blogs, opinions etc., and  I had a thought....this one stuck, however, so I am blogging it: 

           If 90% of the educational apparatus is LIBERAL,

           If 90% of all the reporters, publishers, writers in the media are LIBERAL,

           If a large portion of the government bureaucracies are Liberal,

           If the agencies that protect Americans at home and abroad are 90% LIBERAL,

           If 80% of actors, movie studio personnel, staff, writers, producers are LIBERAL,

       and they only represent about 20-30% of the American population, WHY DO WE LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THEIR LIES?  Why do we allow them to brainwash our children?  Why we do allow them to use our tax money to help and support illegal aliens, criminals, crooked politicians at all levels to name just a few categories?
     I believe it is because we were not paying attention.  It's tough to pay enough attention when both you and your spouse must work to keep food on the table, a roof over the family's head and on and on and on.  So for most Americans who have kept their noses to the grindstone for decades making sure this country worked, it is a surprise to find themselves on the short end of every stick out there. 
     We bought the toys, cars, furniture, houses, watched DVD's, paid for movie tickets, donated to every "glitch" the earth went through, our churches, our schools, our communities and kept the damn economy above water.  All we get today is in your face "ignorance, stupidity, gross negligence, hatred, racism, Jesus bashing". 
     Time to tell 'em, every one, to stay the hell out of your house, your television, your movies, your perks, your money...time to tell 'em to go away or we they will forfeit the benefits of living in this great country.  No more nice guy!  We will not rent DVDs, go to the movies (oh well, we're not going now), but we will prevent our kids from going and listening and question every assignment of every teacher of every level of school from K to Phd if we have.  Time, ladies and gentlemen, to get it "ON".

17 Million!!!

     That's how many illegal, er...undocumented aliens there are in the U.S.   But wait!!  That 17 Million is adults only!  What that means it that there are over 30 million undocumented (illegal) aliens.....(the average family consists of 2.87 people...but I didn't include kids).

     If the Libs are right that there are 47 uninsured Americans, then they are asking you and me to pay for the health insurance of over 30 million undocumented.  How are you with that?

     I take it personal that the Libs want to protect undocumented aliens before they want to protect our kids.  Instead of making health insurance something we can get a credit against taxes, they go and propose a tax increase of over 2 TRILLION (thank you Rangel!).

I mean, folks, let's get real!

Wow, I thought the tinfoil hatted leftist loons and their presidential candidates have said America is very bad, not doing well and unless we elect them, America is lost?

Competent Integrity????

This sounds great, in theory:

     "Undermine guerrilla cause and destroy their cohesion by demonstrating integrity and competence of government to represent and serve needs of the people - rather than exploit and impoverish them for the benefit of a greedy elite."

     Now, of course, you must find sufficient people who have integrity and are competent enough to govern.  And, you now need to find sufficient people with integrity and competence to be governed.  The USA is, in fact, the first experiment of its kind in human history precisely because we tried to become a society of people with integrity and competence.  Our Founding Fathers knew that it would take a long time to achieve a majority of just such people.  They did not, in my humble belief, believe that it would turn our any other way.  Today in America, we have finally seen that this wonderful experiment appears to be failing.  A majority of its people hate this country precisely because it wants to be what they hate the most: honest and competent.  The majority of human history back tens of thousands of years has demonstrated that the difficulty of finding sufficient numbers of good and honest people willing to govern the ungovernable is almost nonexistent.  Torture and death have been the result in every period of human existence.  We think this past century, because most of us are alive in it, is different.  It is not.  Those whose hate is so deep will never see what their future truly is because they are led by those whose goal is to kill the American experiment fully and finally!!

     The post I responded to is on Windsofchange.net and had to do with torture.  Primarily,  the actual concept of torture and what could or could not be achieved, how others responded to it, etc.  However, in my viewpoint, the issue is far more basic: are there enough "good" people in the world that are competent and have courage and integrity to try and undertake helping others govern  the ungovernable?  That you see, is what I think Bush did and he thought, at the time, that it was something feasible.  But, is it?  An old adage I heard long, long ago was it takes three (yep 3) generations for a "concept" to pass away.   I have seen it begin to happen with race, gender, sexual mores and more.  What I don't think anyone thought would happen was that a group of people, aided and abetted by America haters, would be able to move the bar of living to such a low and disgusting degree.  Those of us who thought we had embarked on a competent path full of integrity were naive.  I know that I felt good about getting rid of race hatred and giving all genders the equality of opportunity.  I never thought, then, that there were people in this country who hated it enough to destroy it from within.  But, from what I've seen these past few years it is so obvious I am ashamed I didn't see it sooner.  That awful hatred  has been there decades or more and I truly believe that the majority of it adherents are not aware of exactly what they have brainwashed to do.   I pity them and us!

LATE 1960's
     Back in the day, I marched at what was then the ABC Entertainment Center;co-busted my company's dress policy with my gay, female boss; threw out my dresses and bought only pants and helped found a local NOW Chapter...all before the gals burned their bras and became Feminazies. They did nothing for me, a middle class mom with three kids whose ex did not help support. The choice I had from them then was leave the kids with someone and go to college. As has been the case for centuries, the poor or the very rich make it. The middle class, a fairly new group on the planet, pays for everyone else's assistance, but gets no help. Make no mistake, these are females, not women. That they do not and many don't know the difference is a sad state of affairs in 2007 of the new century!! Ask Hillary and the current prez of this group what exactly, with specificity, have they done for the middle class woman these past forty years...you won't get an answer cause there isn't one. Hillary is a Queen Bee and those women 40 and over will remember what type of insect this is on real women everywhere, but particularly in the workplace.

p.s.  NOW= National Organization for Women (an oxymoron)
