This is the question I asked myself the past two days.  In particular this morning while watching the Pope, Holy Father to Catholics around the world, kneel and pray at Ground Zero at the World Trade Center.  I have watched on Fox Cable, the only channel to give the Pope and his doing more than a 30 second sound bite. 
     Yesterday I enjoyed the Mass very much.  Not as intimate as the mass I attended many, many years ago, but certainly the architecture was simply a masterpiece.  I love the stained glass windows, the pomp and ceremony, the vestal garments and the billowing incense and sprinkled holy water.   This is what church should be for all.  It is food and a balm for the soul of man.  Nothing whatsoever to do with religion, mind you.  Simply is.  Only think, what would your church be without its accouterments:  candles, crosses, linens, flowers, vases and so on and so on.  We human require tangible reminders that church is a different place, or should be.  Church is not a place for hate, but for love, peace, understanding and reconciliation and, finally, penance.  What would be the point of faith, religion or churches if there were not a forgiveness that required penance.  Our modern world, particularly here in America, has lost  that small but vitally important part of being human...penance.  We have taken away the penance for our actions, no matter how outrageous.
     We are told to forgive by everyone, but are never told that it is necessary to the human spirit to also require punishment for wrongs/sins if you will.  I strongly believe it is impossible to forgive someone who walks away from their sin, however, egregious.  Our souls simply cannot forgive, ever unless restitution is made in some form by the offending party.  In many instances, we know that "I'm sorry" just doesn't cut it.  Sometimes being sorry is simply not enough.  There are some sins that require the ultimate payment from an offender.  We have not yet reached the evolved point in our humanity that we can know, with certainty, if an sinner can be "mended, cured...fixed".   So, we require penance in some form be paid.  That is also another problem with our modern world.  We have no penance for a majority of the harm that is done because there is a contingent that believes no punishment should be applied to anyone for any reason.  We are awhirl with ADD, ATD, COPD, Post and pre something.  We use initials as a shortcut to say, that person is ill so they are no responsible.  But, we know that most of that "trash talk" is bull.  We know this in the very center of our being, no matter what we try to tell ourselves and others. 
     So, with all of this said, can you have faith without God?  I know for certain you can have faith without religion.  I have met too many who are truly faithful to deny that.  But must there be a god in the equation?  In my case, I lost my :"faith" at 13 on a beautiful sunny day with clear skies.  In an "eureka" moment, I realized there was no "God" and no need for the ritual of churchgoing and I stopped.  More than ten years later, in a bad marriage and pregnant, I thought I had made a terrible mistake by forsaking God.  So, I "lumbered" to church and involved myself and my children.  Although I counseled with the Reverend and prayed mightily and dutifully attended church regularly and consecrated my children to the faith, nothing changed.  I went from Catholic in my youth to lite-Catholic, Episcopal in my young twenties.  So I stopped.
     Got rid of the first husband, understood the Women's Movement was not going to help me in any way.  I was a working Mom before people thought up a political description of it.  Took some stock and a number of years later remarried a man who was 100% faithful to me, loved me and the kids, never lied, never cheated and trusted me.  I embarked on psychology.  Freud, Jung, etc., plus some "earth" type stuff.  Some of which appeared to work and almost most that didn't.  But in the process I learned about the psychology of the brain and therefore the soul.  The psychology of people.  But it would more time to have all of this coalesce into my ultimate philosophy and help run my life another twenty plus years.  I must tell you that in the end result for me was simple:  98% vs. 2% solution.  98% of the population on the planet are in difference levels of evolution and only 2% are evolved high enough to be able to think, reason and behave as humans are meant to.  Think about it.  Look around you.  Check it out for yourself.

     This morning there was an earthquake in Illinois.  Yep, Illinois.  Home of Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright the 8000 congregation and other pastors in pseudo Christian churches preaching hatred like Wright. 
     The earthquake was 5.2 as of early this morning and we will probably know the exact magnitude later.  But for now, for those of us who know about earthquakes (I live in California), a 5.2 isn't some small event.  I mean, God is busy, you know?  He trying to guide folks in getting rid of AIDS in Africa and we, Americans, have it almost whipped.  We're trying to get the word out about that other religion that believes in death and destruction as means of worship.  I mean, his plate is probably full.  I know, I know, he's God right?  But, even God can get overworked, particularly when the hatred spewed at him and his children gets to be so ugly.
     So, God spoke today in Illinois.  I hope they're listening.

     Poor Obama and Michelle.  They got into this race thinking "we've got it made"!  The poor white folk won't talk back because our color is just too sensitive an issue, they feel so "guilty".  And, baby, I need lots of new shoes.  But, neither of them counted on what "words" mean did they?  Didn't Barack himself say that "words" are powerful things...."they're just words...?" he told us, remember. 
     Now, he must explain the words he used to describe 70% of America....bittergate? You betcha!! Where in the world did this mess come from?  Obama has his pastor to thank for it and every other pastor and priest or rabbi across America that rails and pitches hatred of this great country and its people every week from pulpits across this country.  Why, what is the difference between a Islam imam preaching hatred and this?  I can't "see" the difference myself only in degree.
     And, just an aside, where do these haters get off thinking they're Christians?  I don't remember hate as being the message Jesus Christ died on that cross for, do you?  And I am an atheist!

And we are beginning to "see" Obama better.  He can't hide as easily anymore.  Although, will he sweep each room thoroughly for bugs before each speech so he can feel free to call us every negative name he can think of?  He has learned well at the feet of his mentor and pastor, Wright.  The Rev. Wright, the owner of that 1.8 million mansion behind the gated community that is 98% white. 

          HYPOCRICY, THEY NAME IS BARACK AND WRIGHT!!

     I was watching Die Hard with a Vengence with Bruce Willis.  This movie came out in l985 and I am sure it took a couple of years to put together before release.  As I watched Bruce Willis as the "put upon white man" who has to do all of the dirty work the cops won't do try to save residents of New York it dawned on me.  The movies and songs of the past thirty-forty years have been telling us precisely what was happing day to day, not only in America, but the world.  Here we a white cop hated by his less than competent brothers and to make matters worse, hated by African Americans too.  The African Americans are represented by Samuel L. Jackson, a great actor and I hope the "hate" he depicted was not real.
     Those of us who have been shaking our heads for a long time trying to figure out where this country made a bad turn and is trying to make a worse turn now, need only go back to, oh, about l970 on in pictures to see not only what was becoming of this great country by people who hated it, but also who was responsible...they were, not us.  That they have turned the tables to make us feel bad and guilty is our bad.  We should know better.  But, I'll write more later, right now I have to go Blockbusters and check out what it is that's available.  Have lots of watching to do!!

     For no good reason, I have not spent the time on the Internet or the blogosphere that I normally do.  I therefore, missed Saint Obama's classless gaffe....we of the unwashed, illiterate, poor, pious middle of
America (actually, anyone who does not believe as St. Obama and his pastor, wife and supporters do)!
     Again, for no good reason, I didn't try hard enough to find out what the saint had said, only that he was
once again claiming to have been misunderstood by us U.I.P.P.'s.  He had no remorse on Friday I gather.
But by Saturday, his tune began to change.  Even as his "pastor" Wright was telling a huge crowd of African
Americans some ugly lies and was being held up by his audience as another "jesus" come to meeting, Obama began twisting himself into something he isn't:  a straight, truthful, knowledgeable individual.  St. Obama does not deserve to serve in any capacity or level of government until he can rid himself of the hatred, revenge and rage he holds in his heart for "us typical white people or UIPPs".  Nor should he.  Can you imagine what the right reverend wright could do to whites if his guy became president.  Lynchings?  No, don't shake your head....after all shootings and beatings are commonplace by African American gang members against whites, hispanics and their own.  Law enforcement officials as well as school officials never find "hate" crimes against African Americans, even when you have videos of them attacking and harming people.  Whites on the other hand can't look askance without having the book thrown at us.
     It is time, finally....finally, to take the blinders we've forced on ourselves OFF!!  Think about this, if anything you say or do can be used to harm you by African Americans, how much worse would it be if we took off the blinders most of us don't have on when it comes to Islamofascists and look what they did and NOT DONE since.  If I must lose my head to some imbecile because of their god, how much worse can it be when we speak truth to the African American power structure?  Dead is dead!!

We now have a clear liar, elitist pussball and an old man on the list of who is after the presidency of this
great country.  The liar will do whatever it takes.  The pussball said this:

     While speaking to his choir of like minded pussballs with lots of money that Pussball wants.  I know he said "small towns" but I honestly believe he meant to say "anyone who doesn't believe in my way"...he believes himself to be just too clever.  After all, we bought the Wright stuff didn't we.....well, he is wrong and so is his wife, his pastor and his terrorist friends in New York city.  Let's be honest, there is not a tinfoil hatted leftist loon, poor or rich, who doesn't believe exactly what Pussball said, including the Clinton's, their daughter and their "friends" and supporters.  They do not know who we are, what we are or why we are.  It has never occurred to them to try and find anything out about us, we're just the poor unwashed.  Hollyweird is getting a good lesson from the "poor and unwashed".  They're losing money left and right!!

     I am bereft from lack of truth.  With an extraordinary few, the many simply lie!  They do not speak the truth.  Here we have a man, Pastor Wright, that is definitely a racist against the white race.  No bones about it.  Here at least is one man who tells his truth for all to hear and dances to it for all to see.  He preens, struts and hip hops his way around his podium all the while telling his truth without hiding.
     Along comes his protege, Obama, who either didn't think anyone would pay attention or care.  No, that's not true because he told the reverend that he couldn't attend his announcement and had to stay off the stage.  Hmmmmm.  Then we have Obama upending his grandmother who is elderly.  He didn't give a thought (?) to how this poor woman would feel to be called a "typical white" racist?  Did Obama not care about this woman who took him in, loved and cared for him when his own father or mother didn't? 
     What this most recent episode tells me about Obama, his wife and his pastor, is they are shuck and jive artists looking to score big time.  I mean, the Presidency of the United States of America.  Talk about power,
money and prestige.  What this translates to is their complete disrespect for the Office and for you and I, the people.
      Just once I would love to see someone who might do a decent and honest job get the office other than politicians.  I don't subscribe to BDS.  History may tell many of you younger people the truth in ten, twenty or more years, but maybe not because the history of this country will be destroyed if the Orwellian forces like the tinfoil hatted leftist loons, the dark side are in power.  Forces like the Obama's, the Clinton's, George Soros and his Moveon.org, Media Matters, every journalist, professor, teacher, government worker, the CIA, NSA etc., etc., etc.  Or maybe they have already won and we are fighting our death throes.  But, I for one will not go gently into that dark night.  I will write and write and write until they pry my cold, stiff fingers from my keyboard.

On PajamasMedia, one of their columnists, Josh Strawn,  had an article explaining, in depth, why Obama shouldn't be hurt by his support of Wright:  my comment:

You lost me at “stupid” in the first paragraph. It is indicative of Lefties whether avowed or subliminal, that they do the “well, what about….” fill in the blank. Bad behavior is what it is. The problem with Mr. and Mrs. Obama is that she lets her disdain and hatred for whitey out, he smiles his way through it. There is no way in the world his association with Wright can be excused on any grounds other than that he believed his mentor, reverend, friend and associate. Nothing said or done can change that, ever. It is like saying that Hitler was my pal and mentor but I never heard him say one bad thing about anybody and he didn’t start a war! “Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information.”

     So, a "baby" is punishment?  Where in the world is this "man" coming from?  If you teach values and morals, you might not have to face the "mistake" and if you do, then you must make the moral, valuable choice?  Right?

My oldest son and I are on opposite sides of the universe when it comes to politics.  We don't often talk about it in any format, but this evening I got his email showing an invitation from Barack Obama's supporters to have dinner with Barack if he made a "donation" by a date certain.  He said I could via this method get my "information direct from the horses mouth".   Here is my response to my son which I sincerely hope doesn't cause us pain, but which I felt needed to be said:

Unfortunately, Mr. Obama is not a horse.  Wish that he were because I would ask him only how he can possibly expect me to believe a word he says after declaring (a) he was unaware just how bad his pastor's remarks were regarding this country (b) telling his pastor that he might not be able to attend or participate in his swearing in ceremony when he became Senator because of his "beliefs" and (c) his recent statement that he would have quit his church if the pastor had not already retired.
     Fortunately, I am not deaf, dumb or blind due to any injury physically, emotionally, financially or indoctrination by any educational, religious or political expediency.  I dislike them both and with some small exception dislike McCain as well.  We are at a very severe crossroad in this country....tinfoil hatted leftist lunacy is to avoided at all costs, at least until mature adults can retake their party(?)!
     It is more than unfortunate that the pendulum that began its swing nearly 100 or so years ago and finally gotten America to this point will take at least 25 years to return to a middle of normalcy and that only because of the technology we have today.  But, that is my take which you do not believe in.  That 's O.K. I love you and hope your next 40-50 years are as you wish them to be.

Which I did!

     I listen to KABC Radio the L.A..Orange Metro station in California.  I almost never change it.  Today on some errands I heard a host of a financial show in the afternoon that took my breath away.  He spent the first 5 to 10 minutes spinning his little heart out about the Left side.  That is O.K. normally, but, this is a financial show and his bias was showing.  Then he had a guest that gave his opinion on why the debt in all forms in this country, which is 6 (?) trillion and growing, cannot be controlled by either side.  Honest, I thought I was going to get a "fair and balanced" explanation.  I know, I know...I should know better and believe me I do, it was just that this was about money...investments, loans, Wall Street...etc.  Anyway this guy (Konigberg? I think) said the reason neither side could stop it was they they couldn't because of the "things" the budget covered.  He proceeded to list any number of things including the fact that DEFENSE SPENDING IN THE PAST THIRTY YEARS had doubled!!
     Talk about a complete fool and dyed in the wool partisan!  This joker never mentioned Medicare which will be broke very soon...sooner than Social Security.  He didn't mention Social Security either.  He didn't discuss adjusting that huge amount of debt because of inflation these past 30 YEARS!!!
     Well, so much for KABC on Saturdays.  O'Reilly and Hannity with Elder and Rantel only on week days.  I'll call the station on Monday and complain.
