Hillary's direct quote in her inestimable words:

     "I am not in favor of this rush for war, but I'm also not in favor of doing nothing. Iran is seeking nuclear weapons," Clinton said in defending her stance. "And the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is in the forefront of that, as they are in the sponsorship of terrorism."

    Directly confronting her critics, the senator said, "So some may want a false choice between rushing to war, which is the way the Republicans sound -- it's not even a question of whether, it's a question of when and what weapons to use -- and doing nothing.

   "I prefer vigorous diplomacy. And I happen to think economic sanctions are part of vigorous diplomacy."

   Has there even been a problem here in America or in the world that has been 100% solved because of honest, truthful, followed diplomacy?  I don't believe so.  It is the height of irresponsibility to believe that you can believe liars and cheats...we do so at our own peril!  Here is a copy of my email to Kevin Sullivan of Real Clear Politics who believes we should talk, talk, talk:

How does ones engage in diplomatic talks, when one side is lying to gain its goals.  Cheats when necessary to accomplish them.  And, more important, if their "god" tells them this is O.K. to do and it has been successfully done for over 1300 years to achieve ends, why would anyone
with a brain believe or depend on a word they utter?

     Hillary Clinton is awaiting her turn at being president of the United States.  After all, that was the "contract" she made with Bill.  Whether the contract was non-verbal,  verbal or in writing matters little.  All of us make contracts with those we are involved in relationships with.  That is one of the ways we make relationships work.  It is when we make contracts with each other based on wishful thinking, that we get into trouble.  Sometimes, very serious trouble.  Sometimes, it costs us our life.  But, getting back to Hillary, I have often wondered just when the contract to "get Bill to the highest level possible and then get Hillary there after" got made.  With what little you can read that is factual about the ex First Lady, is may be hard to figure out, but not totally impossible.   I have read that her father was ex-military and strict.  Hillary was already chafing at her fathers rules, whether valid or not. Where was her mother?  She may well have been around my age, but she was in college and I was married with two children and a full time job.  Did Hillary appreciate that she was in college?  Did she consider it her due?  Did she understand her place of privilege? 
     Now, go back and look at the pictures of Hillary as a young girl, college girl and then married woman.  Think, if you are woman its much easier, but you can see a very smart young female but not at all good looking.  She is certainly not pretty.   How then did Bill not only notice her but ultimately marry her?  This is what I think:  she was very political and outspoken, very determined, very into the "feminist" movement but understood two things:  power was in the almost exclusive purview of men, period and she would have to corral a "strong star" to have any impact.  Bill Clinton was that "star".   Very smart, personable, glib speaking,  good looking and hungry for the good things in life.  Bill didn't care how he got them, but get them he would.  He was a Rhodes Scholar.  He had the future at his fingertips.  Hillary wasn't stupid then or now.  She corralled him, I believe, by talking truth to his ego.  "You're smart, you're great, you've got everything it will take to achieve greatness...let's partner up and I'll get you there....?  No?  I think that is exactly what went down...maybe a change here and there or a variation in theme, but the contract was simple: "I Hillary will protect you, get you there and in return, you will do the same for me."  "I will support us, give us one child and make as much money as I can to get you where you want to go, but, you will return the favor." 
     Did Hillary know about Bills predilection for women?  Of course,  But Hillary's sexuality was the least important of Hillary's desires.  She didn't want to be part of Gloria Steinham's "movement"....she knew that was a lost cause for the next thirty years,  perhaps  longer.  But if she could maneuver Bill into politics, after all , that was all he was good at, then she would be the power behind the throne.   Hillary applied herself to her goals for the next thirty years and achieved the impossible.  She took a man the country knew nothing about who governed a state at the bottom of the states and using her "talents" and destroyed what she couldn't turn to her favor and made drones of her supporters.  They, like Bill, want power and today, with Hillary at the helm, they expect to remake this country in an image the average American would be horrified of if they ever became aware of Hillary desires.  She has believed her own press,  fervently, since she made her choices over forty years ago.  I honestly don't believe that Hillary is honest, truthful or moral.  But, in her defense, her definitions of what those words mean is completely the opposite of what I believe them to be.    How else to  explain the Hard Left in this country?  Hillary is no Bill in demeanor, but she is more Bill than Bill when it comes to determination and guts.  She will get what she wants today or all hell will break lose.   A woman scorned is bad enough, but a Hillary Clinton scorned?  Look out!

SO WHO IS DOING THE WORK?

The population of the USA is 300 million.

160 million are retired.

That leaves 140 million to do the work.

There are  85 million in school.

Which leaves 55 million to do the work.

Of this there are 35 million employed by the federal government.  


Leaving 15 million to do the work.

2.8 million are in the armed forces insuring our freedom and homeland security. 

Which leaves 12.2 million to do the work.  


Take from that total the 10.8 million people who work for state and city governments.  


And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.  


At any given time there are 188, 000 people in hospitals.

Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.  


Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.  


That leaves just two people to do the work.  

 

You and me.  

 

And there you are

sitting on your Butt,

at your computer, reading jokes.

liren08, thanks for the "comment".

My first and most immediate response is to simply not respond at all.  But, in closely reading liren08, I see my own frustration. As I noted in my original piece, I trust my source completely, and I also know that the behavior of politicians, celebrities, the rich and powerful usually descend to this level of arrogance.  And, there are more people on this planet who are more like this than not.  The reason it is relevant is because Hillary is trying to become (and unfortunately for this country, probably will) president.  This makes everything one can know about her crucial.

liren08, why do you automatically assume that I am a republican?  Because my blog is at this site?  I have other blogs at different sites.  Why do you make the automatic assumption this is a "smear"?  Why do you insist on calling facts about a persons character "attacks" if they are true?  And, how do you know that they aren't?

liren08, no, I do not, as you seem to do, think you or those with your thoughts are evil, jerks or uncaring.  You will note that my January post had to do with Hillary's behavior that if you had been carefully reading for the past fifteen years, you would have picked up on.  Granted, nowhere near with the frequency of the other side's indiscretions because the media is biased, but certainly there was sufficient information out there to make a person totally unaware of her,  prior to l991, curious about her.    I learned long ago that in order to know a person, however well, you must first know where that person comes from, whom they come from in order to begin to understand.  Hillary's father was ex-military, and from the little I can read about her, he was very strict.  Nothing about her mom.  But, her experiences at college speak volumes, pictures of her at that time also tell us a lot.  You, and indeed, she may not wish to go back there, but those of us who are scared sick of this female, do.  You cannot blindly follow!  And, that, in fact, is the difference between you and me.  I wish to know everything I can about those that will my impact my grandchildren's future.  Do you?  She does not!!  Check it out.

liren08, I marched for Women's Rights here in my state of California!  I broke the clothes barrier at my place of employment with my "gay" female boss.  I marched for Equal Rights for everyone.  But, in the decades since, I have watched with horror as the "women" of this country used abortion as their choice of birth control!  I have watched the dumbing down of our children in education to be "fair" to everyone.  In the name of getting along or "multiculturalism" I have watched as our holidays have been done away with while others' have not.  I have watched the repeat of the hatred spewed during the Viet Nam War on our soldiers and I understand their pain.  My family member was a POW for over four years!  So don't for one minute believe I believe a word the left or the tinfoil hatted leftist loons say about their "support" of our troops.  These are the grandparents, parents and children of those years that spit on our men coming back and who today have aligned themselves with people who have hated what American has been and is for hundreds of years.  These are the people who wish "government" could control our lives because they honestly feel we don't have the brains to do it ourselves.  No, liren08, these "people" know that there is much they can accomplish with hate,  And, although you and I may value "intelligent" discourse, please listen to what is being said by the haters so that you may understand that they are even wiling to support those islamic fanatics who wish to do away with the infidels or anyone who will destroy this country as it is, at all and any costs!   They will support them until their heads, mine and yours are bobbing down the blood flooded streets of America.  That is true hatred, my friend!

And finally, because I am an atheist, I can only wish you the blessings of the universe we inhabit.

I have been trying to get this as close as I could....BUT, never in a million years did I imagine that homo sapiens could be so barbaric:

As a result, thousands of Britons living across France were sent “brutal” letters last week from the department of social security informing them that they would no longer be welcomed as non-paying customers of France’s hugely efficient - and traditionally extremely generous - national health service.

The letter stated that, under a change of rules which is due to take effect on Sept 30, any foreign resident who had retired early would lose their right to free state health care."


Brits retire at 53?   Who knew, but in the end, this is what it comes to in France, finally.  It is ready to catch up to Briton and other nations shortly.  We will see them fall like dominos!!

I read AS in my early 30's and it gave me different perspectives to add to my already questing mind. I had been a "bleeding heart liberal" without truly understanding what it was I was actually blindly supporting. AS was definitely long, tedious and I didn't read every word of the speech and I didn't go further into her works. But, the basic ideas, based as they were after experiencing Russia, socialism and fascism were manna for me. I didn't go to college like so many of you above, but, that didn't mean I didn't read, read and read. I just didn't read the stuff most of you did and I still came out of my 30's with my own philosophy. Some of what I believe is based on the Judeo-Christian principles; some on Ayn Rand and much, much more on my own questions, thought processes, watching and listening to everything around me. I have always started with the "why" of a thing. Proceeded to a conclusion and became a self described center conservative. I know for instance that working hard is not a guarantee of wealth accumulation or success except in a person's personal, private life. Respect of oneself and others is paramount to living a decent and clean life...one cannot exist without the other. Responsibility to oneself, others and the world is necessary for a balanced life. But, the knowledge that 98% of homo sapiens subsist to get the most of whatever they can regardless of the cost to others and that the remaining 2% may never be enough to get this world to a higher evolutionary level, can, if allowed to be, very depressing. I understand that people are basically like toddlers: selfish, narcissistic, mean, loving, curious, self absorbed, and dangerous to themselves and others. But toddlers are also beautiful because at that age they can learn so much. Toddlers don't label themselves or stick to untenable positions. But, toddlers don't really think either. They just exist in their world and enjoy life if it is good.

My comment:
Would you someday, if time ever permits, list those "right" conservative blogs that lost their minds over this?  Seriously, the blogs I read do not do this...yes, some commentators do, but those are not bloggers.  You are but one of many I hear use the term "right" conservatives when an issue is fought over fiercely.  I honestly would like to know where I go to read the "right" conservatives mentioned.  The difference, I think and believe, is that usually the majority of voices that rise up to are the liberals and those tinfoil hatted leftist loons for which "reason of the mind" simply does not exist to spew hate, dishonesty and smears against the right of whatever makeup it is.  This is their m.o. and it works beautifully and has for decades.  Scream at the top of your lungs that so and so is racist, xenophobic, homophobic or chauvinistic pig, and the world follows you...

AN APOLOGY...

     An apology is due to anyone out there that may read this blog from time to time.  I started it with the full intention to blog at least several times a week if not daily.  And I have come to admire anyone who has the depth of commitment and the time to do it well.  Every single one of the blogs that I visit daily with a particular emphasis on a few, take up quite a bit of early morning time.  In fact, I have found it unnecessary to even listen to the news on a daily basis.  Unless, of course, I want to know, locally, who got killed, where and why or perhaps something local.  Otherwise, I have come to find that the news is not simply news any more.  The anchors feels it is incumbent upon them to personalize their comments or vent their particular bias to the audience.    So, I get my news from my blogs, their links and so I am saved a couple of hours of television viewing.  Even the weather and traffic can be more immediate on the web.  I can well see that in a decade or so, television news will go the way the print media is headed: oblivion.
     I have, come to some conclusions about blogs, their proprietors, guests and commentators.  There are indepth blogs such as Captains Quarters, Patterico's Pontifications,  No Left Turns, Polipundit and many more.  Any article I wish to read can usually be read at the writers website or blog.  Discussions can be a  variety  of subjects, or focused in on on issue.  Some blog sites I visit daily point me in directions I might not have found on my own.  But as a general rule, I do not read print media on the internet specifically.  I do, however, read some print in doctor and dentist offices which I frequent this time of year because of the grandchildren.  There are occasions when I wish I could have the rag or magazine at home to finish, but very, very rarely.  For home subscriptions, I read Archaeology, Scientific American and through them other links of interest to me personally.   In addition, I receive roughly 24 emails from sites of interest:  Wall Street Journal,
Front Page, Slashdot,  The Heritage Foundation, The David all Group...to name just a few.  Each have great information most of the time so I spend another chunk of time.  So, by the time I get frustrated sufficiently to think about posting, I have run out of time. 
      It occurs to me that there is so much out there that maybe I should focus more.  I can't.  Oh, I do make the calls to Senators and Representatives, email the President, deans of colleges and others to complain or praise for it is necessary to do both.  But, simply put, I would have to be without any responsibilities of any kind to post more than I have.  It then occurs to me that if I can read the sites mentioned, then others I know do by the tens of thousands so what I write can only be another view.  Is another view necessary with so many views out there?   Yes and No.  If I cannot find a view similar to mine then I will post, or if I comment on a blog that I think might make sense to you all, I'll post that.  In a nutshell I will post differently than the sites I visit daily and hope that I can be of service.

Evangelicals....

I spent fifteen years traveling to states all over this great country and because I had to, I spent two weeks in a different place each year. Never once, not once, did anyone ever get in my face about their religion. As a member of a group of 2 million paid members, 4-5,000 of which I spent those two weeks with, never once, not once did anyone get in my face about any kind of "religion"....Where, oh where are all of these people that are called evangelicals? You know, those people who try to live peaceful, decent lives. People who try not to steal, cheat and turn a blind eye to hopelessness and despair. People who help the poor and give more money to charity than any other group in the world? People who are hated with so much anger that it is a wonder they are not being fed to the lions again. OH, BUT WAIT UNTIL A DEMOCRAT GETS THE PRESIDENCY...then watch the lions be let loose of their cages. Who are you people? Where do you live? Among who do you live? And, what kind of family surrounds you?

Personally, I can't wait for the Caliphate to come to America under Sharia Law....then we'll see just who exactly you are so afraid of. When my head is bobbing down that blood flooded street, my only consolation is that yours will be bobbing in front, behind and beside mine. Kudos to liberal orthodoxy!!!! Long live the tinfoil hatted leftist loons running our universities.


Gee, I was pretty upset when I wrote this, but it's the truth!!

My post on a comments section for one of my favorite blogs.  The numbers for the MSMers is awful and getting worse from all sides on a daily basis.  So,  I said:


What can begin to get America together, somewhat, would be for the MSM to begin to treat news in a balanced way. It has taken nearly 60 years for the MSM to be shown and proven as biased left because today we have the Internet and those of us who care about honesty and decency will do our research into the varying opinions, facts and research and make our decisions. Not only the MSM, but also the television and movie people...if you pay close attention, and I do, small bits of anti American or BDS slip into dialogue throughout everything on the airwaves. I just don't know if we have enough time to reverse what's been done quickly enough to avoid another, more horrible event or events.


and,

John Dingell, representative wants to take away the mortgage interest deduction for "McMansions"  or, in the words of this "old" man any home larger than 3,000 square feet.  Not a $1 million and up homes, no this idiocy is based on the size rather than the value.  Will Edwards' 28,000 square foot Mansion or Al Gore's 10,000 square foot or the Kennedy Compound or Barbara Streisand, how about all of the Hollwyood moguls who live in Beverly Hills' in California and similar cities in America?  But, hey, they can afford it!  CAN YOU?

Email him but better yet, call him and let him know what you think about his plan.  As I told his staffer, if he checks the home sizes of his family, friends, associates he'll find none of them are living in 1,500 square homes!

HotAir had a "discussion" about a commenter calling Kos ghey, seems that this is code for gay.  The discussion was very lively, but I think lots of those posting took each others thoughts too much to heart, my response:


I am an avid reader. Have been since I was a preteen. One of the most important features of writing is the development of the characters in any story. For short simple books the characterization often is not a necessary ingredient to understand the story. However, in any narrative it is important to “know” the characters and part of that knowing is the description provided by the author. It completely depends on the story line which characters get described thoroughly and which don’t. We live in a PC correct world today and many of the necessary characterizations for writing a good story are missing in everyday interactions between people and people and the MSM. I personally don’t care that Kos is or is not a homosexual, that Ford is a “white” African American or that Hillary is attempting to provide her bona fides by butching herself up. However, each of these descriptions gives me, the reader, an insight into who, what, when and where of the person. It allows me to understand the thread of the story or the motivation of the writer in scripting his story line in just the way its been done. What is different today in the political correct world is that we ascribe more to a label than would be possible unless we personally knew, versus just watching or reading. But, even personally knowing isn’t enough. It is important to understand that thinking we know is different from actually knowing, a mistake that Kos and his ilk make every single minute of every day. They don’t care what is said, how it is said and of whom it is said. It is enough that their angry hatred spews and slimes everything it touches, including themselves. Our side is not, in my opinion, like that here at Hotair. But, here we are still trying to discuss using the old words with the meaning attributed by today’s culture. We just need to be more creative in coming up with words that say lots without reverting to Kos-type behavior. Just my opinion!
