My youngest brother calls every couple of months and has for many, many years. Much more if he needs my guidance in real estate financing. I rarely call him because his life is insane and I never know when he can answer the phone, let alone talk. So, I leave it up to him. We can be on the phone for minutes or hours. We talk about everything under the sun. He is a physicist so when I say "everything" I mean almost everything "under the Sun".
Because he is what he is, he has lived in this rarefied world since he was a teenager. And, since our age difference is 20 years, I wasn't at home when he was born or grew up. Although I did visit a couple of times. But, to get back to what I wanted to post about, this last Sunday evening he called and he was telling me that the world economy is not as bad as everyone thinks because (and here's where I may have lost him) money is nothing but information bits passed from one place to another and world citizens all over are getting and passing large fits of information that allows them to purchase stuff. O.K. so far. However, when I tried to pin him down about, you know, the "green" stuff he ended up by saying that perhaps he could no longer talk to me about things because the world had and was moving forward at a rapid pace and I would probably not be able to keep up. That my "thinking" was old and the world was changing. Imagine it! Me. I have spent my life trying, not only to always staying in the real world, but I have watched as literally millions all around this country and the entire planet have finally entered their fantasy world 100%!! This is my smart. in subjects, brother. I never said he was street smart. But at the very least he could see that there was another side of things.
I may have lost a brother last Sunday, he supports Obama! Wow. How fast the world is changing!!
