I have a wonderful 22 year old granddaughter. Her mother is my daughter. I love her dearly, but, she is a "youngster" when it comes to what is going on in America today. I have always tried to give her as many sides of an issue as possible, and until she reached her late teens, she would listen. Maybe not absorb, take in or believe, but at least she listened. But, her father, a old hippie and a tinfoil hatted leftist loon did a pretty good job of converting her to the "other" side, mostly. I say mostly because on a rare occasion she might actually come to see some issue my way. But, her defense is usually that I am old and what do I know. I should also tell you that she is college graduated...with a degree and everything but no idea just what it was or is that she wishes to do.
She just gave her notice at her 6 month old job because it was a small office and she had a hard time handling the owners lack of professionalism and disingenousness. They paid her $l7.00 per hour! But she would quit and that was that. The owners chose a number of applicants out of the over 200 applicants to interview... finally someone to take over but of the two chosen it was discovered the one applicant had lied....they let her go. The second applicant took the job, but she quit after two weeks. In the meantime, the owners kept offering my granddaughter the moon....literally! She kept refusing, but after the last gal left she told them what she wanted, expected and was determined to get from them. They agreed!! And today she gets $25.00 per hour. All I can say is WOW!!!
What is the world coming to? I haven't a clue, do you?
